IPhone owners: any rants/raves?

I've heard a lot of people are having buyer's remorse over the price...and oddly enough a large amount of complaints about it's lack of speed dial. If you bought one, how do you like it? Was it worth the half grand?IPhone owners: any rants/raves?
I don't own one myself but I've done my homework and it runs on the EDGE system instead of the new G3. Also the price of $600 plus the service of the 2year contract activation fee, and cancellation fee of your old phone, the price equates two grand. And to think my brother paid 100 bucks for his phone and does about everything the iPhone does.IPhone owners: any rants/raves?
I always have buyers remorse when I make a big expenditure but this one is definitely worth it so far. I have cruised the internet with no problems. Speed is really not as bad as I had heard. Not enough that I am tapping my fingers waiting. I had a palm treo that I gave to my son and it was slower surfing the net than my new iphone. I'm not sure that speed dial is a problem. There is a place to save your favorite contacts and all you do is tap on the name and it dials. Faster than a speed dial number that I could never remember anyway.

Pros so far: Ease of use. Very user friendly. Watched the video at apple.com after I'd already used the phone for a day. I have had it since Friday night and already have movies and all my music library uploaded and still lots of room (oh yeah, and pictures too)! Simple interface.

My family says it's so much more clear when I call them. Says it's like I'm in the other room. I live in a rural area and I have great service and speed.

Good color and large screen. Excellent programs, text messaging, calendar, camera works great, maps are amazing, weather, you tube, calculator, stocks and notes all at the touch of a button. I get a notice everytime I get new mail at my yahoo address and I can easily read and reply right from my phone. I was thinking about buying an ipod, and now don't need to. It's all right here. And the phone is great!

Cons: Wish we could select ring tones from our ipod or get them from itunes. The choice of ringtones are really disappointing for such a great product. Keyboard is great once you get used to it. Had to work around the fact I have long nails and it's not like my treo which I could tap with my nail and move through the menu. With this you actually have to use the pad of your finger. Takes some getting used to, but I'm already much quicker than I was at the beginning. I'll be two thumbing it by next week! :)

I know this was a long answer, but I really do love this phone an the pros are more than I could even list. Not very many cons at all in my opinion. Yes, pricey... but think about it... if you are going to buy an ipod (which I was) and a new phone (which I was) and on top of it I get a computer to surf the internet. I would say the price was actually a bargain!

Enjoy!
