If McCain had won, he wouldn't have gotten much passed with a Democratic Congress, and he would have vetoed a lot of Democratic legislation. Then we'd still have a stalemate, do nothing Congress.

Listening to the news and what is happening with Senator Voting it is obvious Major turmoil exist with a fear that the Democrats may have Full Control of Congress and the President and don't want it. No racist comments. The Catholic Church is very multi-ethinic. In my parish, I worship alongside African-Americans, Africans, Latinos, Hispanics, Asians, Europeans, Native Americans, etc. There's no room for racism.
The only anti-government comments have been lamenting the lack of pro-life views (war, euthanasia, capital punshiment which is legal in my state, abortion).

The priests at my church don't rant or rave. They do not make racist or anti-government comments. They may speak about issues such as abortions and gay marriages with accordance to our religion but they don't rant and rave about it. Even the churchs I went to in Poland, they never acted like that or spoke out against the government.

I have not heard a Catholic priest make racist comments; however, Pastoral Letters are sometimes read which may contain political or social issues.
I haven't gone to church for years, but I remember the priest always seemed to support the war in Vietnam. The worst ranter and raver I ever encountered was in the Unitarian Church. He wanted to lead our group of Liberal Religious Youth in a protest march at Natick Labs where my father worked.

The priests at my church don't rant or rave. They do not make racist or anti-government comments. They may speak about issues such as abortions and gay marriages with accordance to our religion but they don't rant and rave about it. Even the churchs I went to in Poland, they never acted like that or spoke out against the government.

I have not heard a Catholic priest make racist comments; however, Pastoral Letters are sometimes read which may contain political or social issues.
I haven't gone to church for years, but I remember the priest always seemed to support the war in Vietnam. The worst ranter and raver I ever encountered was in the Unitarian Church. He wanted to lead our group of Liberal Religious Youth in a protest march at Natick Labs where my father worked.

What most of you do not understand is that Catholicism is FALSE religion and is accursed by God (Gal 1:8,9)! I do not want these people to go to hell with the lying sacraments for salvation when the Bible teaches FAITH APART from works (Rom 4:5, 5:1 etc.)

Why not come on in and pray with us? I've prayed with Christians who don't particularly like Catholics - I've even prayed with those who hold strong stereotypes of ethnic Catholicism.

Why he would do that as the congregation was preparing to bring their hearts before the Lord, I can only guess was out of ignorance and a belief that what he was doing was far more important than how others reacted.

(I have also seen street preachers told that they could not preach directly OUTSIDE the church WHILE mass was in progress as it was a disturbance of the peace. I actually agree with this as this does not say the person CANNOT express their opinion, but that they must respect the religion of others....)

Did you watch the people as he was doing this? Only the man in red apparently got up and walked out. Evangelization convicts you to the core, and this guy was probably just sitting there in the church, going through the motions, but he was convicted in his heart. Why didn't everybody else leave? Because they knew he was right! And then at the end, they got up to praise God! Hallelujah!

For years at our ranch we go to every year, people have claimed it was haunted. Apparently, it's on the site of a battle in the Civil War and it was an indian camp long ago. I had been told stories of my uncle getting pushed out of bed and the lights flickering on and off, but I never really believed it. They have even had strange pictures of spirit orbs from the place. But last year when I went up there with my boyfriend, he said he felt a strange presence, like we weren't alone. That night, he had a dream of a man from the Civil War who's body was never found. The next morning, my boyfriend was able to draw a detailed picture of this man and the location where he apparently died. So this year, I am going to do some ';ghost hunting'; of my own with video cameras and audio recording to try to find out for myself.
As for a ghost passing through your body? I've never heard of it put that way. What I have heard is that when a spirit is present, it absorbs energy from the atmosphere and therefore making the surrounding area cold.
In my opinion, I do believe in ghosts. It is possible that if you feel a chill that means a ghost is NEAR you. I've had 2 experiences of encounters. Once, my sister and I were watching my brother do the computer, all of a sudden I heard something very strange like a heavy dress dragging on a floor my sister looked scared and I asked her what happened, she told me that she thought she saw something upstairs like some kind of a person wearing a black long dress quickly walk pass by. I told her what I heard. My second experience was when I went upstairs to play the piano (alone) the lights flickered really quick so I ran downstairs where my sister was and asked her if she turned the lights off and she said she didn't like she was confused.

Before I saw him there were a lot of old things happening, lights being turned on %26amp; off by themselves, toys being moved, etc.. I found out a young boy had died in my house about 30 years ago. I told him that he should go into the light that it was good, warm %26amp; welcoming in the light and that he would see all of his family there that had passed before him. After doing this there has been no more activity.
There is no evidence of ghost existence whatsoever. Some people claim they've seem em but no one can really provide any feasible evidence. I've seen some abnormal things in my life that I can not give a reasonable explanation to but nothing more. Like this one time when I was in a military hospital I saw a guy in the corridor and even talked to him later I was told that the person I'm describing died of deep wounds couple of days before that and no one could even be in the corridor that time (doors were locked). He had this cast on his left leg and I went around looking for a person with a cast in the hospital and never found one. No one had a cast on his leg in the entire hospital. That guy aslo told me that I'll get well in a month and will leave the hospital and that happened too.
i personally believe in ghosts i think i have seen 1 but im not sure for them passing thru u i think they just make the general area cold tht happens to me to and i feel freaked at like 3 in the morning which is supposedly the devil's hour but iot's up to you if you believe or not but if anyone asks me i do believe!

I would rather it happened using only Democrats since any Republican Health Plan would most likely be watered down and not good for the person nor for the program either. Thirdly, good news doesn't sell, so the media finds a needle of bad news in haystacks of good, then exploits it to make a profit. They make their money by making people look bad. Fourth, the more important a person is, the more the media belittles him. This is known as ';Short Man's Syndrome'; or ';Napoleon Complex.'; Fifth, the general populus is ignorant and stupid, believing anything and everything the media tells them, whether consciously or otherwise. Now here's what I'm getting at. Are you a part of the ';general populus'; that bases its opinions of the president and the war in Iraq on what the news and media tell you?Can I rant and rave for a moment?
The media is what it is, it circulates information. Seen that they are circulated by humans, the information is bound to be biased in some way - incidental or deliberate. To answer your first question, people don't need to told that the economy is doing badly it is all around us. When reporters and editors post their opinions people have an option to accept them or reject it. I believe most people weigh the information given and decide whether it makes sense.
Second, after 9/11 Bush had more than just those two options. He could have WAITED, gathered more information, rallied the support of the world's powers, outline a detailed and specific strike on the real enemies, strike (if necessary) and pull out after a specific timeline.
EDIT: People don't disagree against the war on terror. The threat is real and thats why he got re-elected. What happened is that he haphazardly sent thousands of troops to the middle east with the hopes that America superior military strength will FIX the situation. Most of the troops efforts are misdirected and are not yielding enough results.

They all said Rumsfeld's plan was not working , that he would not listen to them,and the military badly needed new direction. That has finally happened, but look at how many Americans and Iraqi citizens died in the meantime.
There has been much financial waste and the terrible loss of human life simply because some hard heads thought they had the answers to everything, in spite of what military strategists told them. That reminds me of Hillary's failed health care plan in the 90's, where she had all the answers without consulting people in the medical field.

This is what instant replay can do in the future, but I fear that there is going to be a time where every single bang-bang play is going to be reviewed, McClouth's throw at home did beat him home, but the tag was clearly made before his feet touched the bag. No umpire is perfect,in fact no one's perfect and the reason why the umpires go by the ball beat him home is because most of the time he's out except for the sacrifice fly that scored Michael Young, that ball beat him to the plate but the tag was late. Young was clearly safe though Navarro on replay was out.

Rant and Rave - Want to walk out on the Job?
So its Saturday and I'm at work. I've already put in 60 hours this week. It seems like there is never light at the end of the tunnel. I hate my job. I hate my boss. I have excema problems because of the stress. I just finished college so I have a degree. Thing is I make good money here. I've been looking for another job but they dont pay the same. The company I work for is growing very fast so there is alot of growing pains that come along with a place like this. BUt there are also lots of opportunities for growth that I wish I wouldnt have to give up. My boss gives a lot of empty promises. I just feel like I hate coming in. I really do. Job makes me feel stupip. Today I feel like I just want to pack my things and leave a resignation on her desk. I dont want to give up but I hate it here. Any advice? I have money saved up and my parents are very supportive so not having money to pay bills is not an issue. I just dont know how I would explain walking out of the job to a future employer.Rant and Rave - Want to walk out on the Job?

Not only that, but you're doing the company you work for huge disservice, because your unhappiness will show in your attitude and performance. If you just got out of college, then this job is kind of like a rite of passage---everyone has a job they hate and a boss they would rather piss on than work for, it's a part of life. And now that you've reached your breaking point, get ready to close the door and grow from the experience, because now you have a better understanding of what kind of job/boss you want and what you are not willing to settle for again. Find out what truly makes you happy, and the money will follow.
That being said, don't quit in haste! That will only hurt your professional reputation, not your company or boss's. Start looking for another job NOW and as soon as you can, give the standard two weeks. I'm wound up as usual. This morning my secretary called to say that she couldn't come in because her baby sitter is sick. I was supposed to have today off of work, but now, I'm stuck here again. I work seven days a week and it's been 3 months since I've had a day off. I ordered breakfast this morning and my pancakes tasted like old shoe leather. My apartment was supposed to be ready to move into this week, but it won't be ready until 9/5. Hurricane Katrina destroyed everything I had last year and Ernesto is in the gulf threatening us again this year! Today sucks! I'm ready to hide under the bed and shoot the phone if it rings, but I'll have to settle sitting at my desk and biting my tongue! WHEW! Thanks. That helped alot. LOLRant n Rave???????????????

YES! i swear this question was made for me..
i made huge mistakes tonight. I invited these guys over who are really sketchy and i who don't know well. there kind of hippy-drug-ish guys. keep in mind im in high school and only a junior. they go to a different school so we know nothing about them. We told them to come to our house tonight (but we really didn't actually wanna hang out) so we left a note on our door saying we were at the neighbors. So they went, came back, we answered and let them in. They were mad, so we were going to go for a ';walk'; but we never went outside so they came back in and went to our bonus room and touched and messed with everything just to be asses. Then they left there facebook account on by accident when we kicked them out. So we completely messed it up.
You can tell there pissed and probably never going to talk to us agian, but that was our goal.

yes my supervisor is a control freak and an idiot! he withholds information we need to make it seem like he's important, but he makes hinself look foolish when we mess up due to his stupidity, and i call his boss to straighten it out! lolololol, supervisor = moron!

my day was kinda dumb but not too dumb, I wanted to go out but heaven forbid!! my friends parents let her go out.

actually, i kind of had a bad day today.... no one talked to me AGAIN at the gym today because some said i looked like a ';snob'; (but actually i'm not. no one's just ever tried to get to know me)... but it doesn't matter hehe. then i shouted (well, not actually shouted..) at some kids carroling for christmas just this evening.. i just said, ';Just go to the next door. your voices suck!';... it really felt bad but i still feel annoyed because the kids who carrols every christmas here (in my country) sings really bad! like the kids whom i victimized earlier shouted the songs instead of singing (every year they're like that... there's no spirit of christmas in their voices... just the spirit of ';money';. yes i know they're just kids!...)... i was talking on the phone at the garage because it was noisy inside... so they came and sang though they saw me talking on the phone (that call was important!)... and they sang like crap! just for the money! plus, our neighbors might have heard me because it was fairly loud... and my mom heard me from the kitchen and she was sort of surprised and kinda speechless.... i'm really in a bad mood these days... don't know what's wrong with me... i'm not usually like this.... aargh! eniways... thanks for the opportunity! made me feel kinda better... hehe.

I mean, really, all I did was set up long enough to smoke a cig, but before I was done, she got mad, got up, and said all I wanted to do was hold you. she smokes too, and was smoking. I was in an odd position each time I went to flick the ashes in the ashtray, so I set up.....about 45 seconds later, she gets up and walks off.....didn't even tell me why till i walked in there and asked her what was wrong.....
i was still on the sofa holding her...just in a different position.
went to bed, no kiss, no hugs, nothing...

Lets see mom is in a nursing home and calls atleast 20 times a day. Step dad just paid 30,000 for my moms lawyer. I saw my mom and thinking maybe she is all right in her head and saw that she wrote on three pieces of paper God and the holy spirits email me. Then she told me that she talks to god personally. Mom suffers from deminsia and she is 51 years old. I have friends that make exuses just so they dont have to hang out with me.Did anything happen to you on Monday that you need to rant and rave about?
yeah, I got an email from my ex girlfriend. My cell phone was in my pocket and it apparently dialed her number and her voicemail recorded a five minute conversation with a buddy I was out with. I can't remember if I talked about her or not!
yes about 5 men commented on my breasts. Oh wait, that happenes EVERYDAY and it's f_cking legal. die bastards.

Yes! I work as a RN in the emergency room. And for some reason we saw more weirdo's this Monday than I can ever remember. Example, We had a 38 year old man come in because he stuffed his nose with peas to see how many he could get up there, and then he couldn't get them out. Go figure

if i have to be here at work during these hours so should my wireless provider. if i knew there was no 24 hour customer service i wouldn't have gone with cinuular.

The English Royals don't derive their income through the misrepresentation of Scripture, telling people to send them money.

Many of the Vatican's treasures weren't treasures when accumulated centuries ago. They were just paintings and sculpture by curernt artists whose works may or may not have survived the test of time. Many of teh church's works were donated and the donations were not intended to be sold, but to be kept by the church.
Today the church is a great museum of art the idea that the art should be delivered into the hands of the highest bidder is somehow repugnant to me.
We'd have sheikhs and drug dealers buying up all the good stuff.

The Catholic Church is the one single organization that has done more to aid people in humanitarian crises than any other organization. When he was here last supervising the building of the ';Papa Scope'; on Mt. Graham, came out to the house for a Birthday Party with what he said was a very ';Special Treat';!!! He brought a ';Slide Projector'; %26amp; ';Trays full of Slides'; that he was ';Allowed'; to take of several ';Vaults'; Filled with ';Treasure'; that he said the rest of the World has no Idea even Exists!!! He showed us ';Temperature controlled Vaults'; with nothing but Ancient Scrolls, Gold, Jewels, Paintings, Statues, Clothing etc. that the World has never seen!!! So, .....Like most, why are they ';Hidden';??? He couldn't answer that as he thought the World should know. But perhaps U know better than he %26amp; I. Johneye make up lipstick

Al Sharpton - the self proclaimed savior of those who are victims of prejudice, has finally revealed to us his true feelings about other races and religions when he proclaimed that Muslims do not worship the ';real'; God. Where are all the people who showed up to protest Don Imus and the Duke Lacrosse players (who were innocent, incase the media forgot to let you in on that too.)Is anyone going to rant and rave about Al Sharpton and his ';prejudiced'; remarks?
Obviously all the people who notice his ignorance are unable to speak for themselves and there are so many that are willing to let him speak for them. I feel bad for the people he uses for his own glory. As long as the media is stupid enough to carry his ranting, people are going to be stuck listening to it.
And, you did notice that rev al was unwilling to submit an apology to the Duke LaCrosse Players like he demanded Imus give. For those who don't see a connection, as usual, rev al was seeking severe punishment for people he has tried in his own mind court. Slander is never a good thing. rev al has caused riots and people have died as a result of those riots.
Imus' remarks, while unwarrented, did not do the damage that rev al causes to people... but he has those poor girls believing they need counseling for it. Don't forget the Twana Braley case Mr. Sharpton was involved with. From there it is easy to decide that the man is a blow-hard and what he says is simply inflamatory verbage.
Per chance the educated people of the world would choose to ignore, then maybe his pontifications would be forgotten and not worth what he thinks they are.
